Milan V Arsenal

haha love it! was a cracking match and arsenal definitely deserved it. Theo Walcott showed great ability when he came on and they are going to be a tough team to beat in later rounds

Maybe I was overreacting abit, but I turned this on with about 25 minutes played, and I though that the 20 minutes before half time was the best performance by an English side against top European opposition I have EVER seen. THey completely dominated possession and it was made to look like a training ground exercise as Milan had to resort to camping on the edge of their box.

Arsenal were not too shabby in the second half either. They looked faster, fitter, sharper, more skilful, better organised and more committed than AC Milan, and thoroughly deserved at least a two goal victory. It was certainly a triumph for flair and invention over a defend to the hilt mentality, and I certainly hope they progress in this tournament and / or win the league. I felt the only thing they may have been lacking was a natural left sided player...Diaby didnt seem to have the confidence to regularly go outside him full back on his left foot....its a shame they did not have someone there that could link up regularly link up with the electric Clichy.

Man Utd vs Roma last season was the best ever performance by an English side in the champions league - however, Arsenal were immense last night, and I think that just proves the strength of the Premiership!

only caught bits of this game as was channel hopping but forgetting the performance what a result for arsenal. i thought they were starting to choke this season but maybe not.

I dunno, I saw that and it was just one of those games where everything they hit went in, and once it got to 3 or 4 the heart went from the Roma players. Arsenal had a few set backs (hitting the bar, Hleb getting booked for diving when he was clearly fouled) but relentlessly kept going and for me it was a better performance. Both were good efforts though!
