microsoft word

hi guys, any chance of someone sending me in the right direction of where I can find a version of the new microsoft word as i'm annoyingly stuck on 'word 2000' at the moment..

Believe it or not, I don't fancy paying 70-odd quid for it.. but is my best bet off of limewire etc.?

i realise that this isn't really allowed, but i really don't have the money for it ;)

cheers!

cant you get "student" versions of MS versions for a more reasonable cost?

I have bought MS Office 2007 thro work for about £18 not that long ago. Dont think its the full version but it serves the purpose for me. I am guessing its the "student" version.

Get OpenOffice instead. It's a complete suite with word processor, spreadsheet, database and the rest. It's good enough to be used by a growing number of businesses and even government bodies in some countries. It's compatible with, and can save in, MS Office file types.

Best of all, it's freeware and won't cost you a penny. I'm sure that Bill Gates will cope without your cash. ;)
