Michael Husbands

2024, the year of the Shrimpers ⭐🦐

Quote[/b] ]Broughton’s double strikes were augmented by a goal from ostracised winger Michael Husbands, who has been training alone at the club’s Boots & Laces training ground, and another from trialist Neilis. Southend also included former Cambridge player Cedric Anselin, a former France Under-21 international, and ex-Cambridge City player Tesfaye Bramble in their starting line-up.

The above quote was taken from The Little Gazette website.

What I'd like to know is why is Michael Husbands training on his own? Is it because his suffering from an illness/on the come back trail from an injury or has he had a falling out with Tilson? Anybody have a clue?

No reason, he just likes training alone.

My guess is... "if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem". I don't think Tilly sees Husbands as part of the squad either now or in the future. If that's the case, no point having him mope around the squad. Just a thought mind...

perhaps he is trying to make a point to tilly? that he does want to be a part of this club?

He is terrible, so it does not matter, but we "the fan" are never given the full story, information is on a need to know basis, and we dont actually need to know

Just a touch harsh. You seem to have forgotten all of last pre-season, the start of last season and this pre-season. He showed that he'd be more than adequate of playing for us but now I feel the team has moved forward and he is surplus to requirements, along with Corbett and Drewenaldo.

Once in a while, it would be nice if we knew what was going on at our Club, seeing as its us, the fans, that contribute to their wages.

"The truth!  You couldn't handle the truth!"  Great film btw.

I think the words can and worms spring to mind. We will NEVER get to know what REALLY goes on behind the scenes.  The day that happens the club will end up being run by a committee and that's no good at all.

Just a thought; has anybody actually ASKED Tilly about Husbands?

A Few Good Men!

Maybe not!

Apt title for these few good men, who have sadly missed the boat and may find themselves surplus to requirements in the summer. I just cannot see any way back for them.
