Memory Cards

A quick question about memory cards.
I had an issue with my camera last year where the USB cable wouldn't connect properly so I bought a universal card reader.

This serves me well but the guy at Jessops said the other day that my memory card has a load of corrupted files on it. I've had a look through windows explorer & the card reader (& virus checked them) but the only thing that's there is .av files & folders.

Am I OK to delete this via Explorer or will that knacker my memory card?

I can't see how it will knacker it, but I've done a websearch and can't find nowt. Try it!

Format the card like you would a disk..
