They should only do so if they're allowed and want to, not just because you say they should.I appreciate you can’t share exact details. To put a stop to rumours you should answer this.
Does he have the funds ready to do the deal? And is he likely to?
I know it’s direct but it should stop many a rumour immediately.
I and other supporters would appreciate that when another rumor go's round that the trust would say either Yes or No , that is all that need to be said .They should only do so if they're allowed and want to, not just because you say they should.
Don't get me wrong, I'd be interested to know as well, but it's not for us to tell them what they can and can't, should and shouldn't, do.
Why would anyone show proof of funds to the trust?
I’m not suggesting that, but I can’t honestly believe a meeting would take place and somebody sensible wouldn’t ask the question: do you genuinely have the cash to buy the club? Why would anyone show proof of funds to the trust?

I’m not saying it should be asked so we can dream of going out and buying superstar players, I’m purely saying does he have the cash to buy it? You can have all the meetings in the world but if you don’t really have the money it will never happen.
And if they can’t answer that question so be it.
Totally agree. A timely recovery plan using funds sensibly is far more important. A stable financial footing without the usual nonsense around pay day would be dreamy. But that can only happen if they do have the funds which as you say we will find out soon enoughWe shall soon find out whether him or they or who ever has the money within the coming weeks. However, I’d hope that any new owner would first concentrate on making sure the club becomes solvent first before splashing out. A timely recovery plan needs to be put in place even if it does mean suffering the NL for another 2/3 seasons.
