Junior Blues News Meet the Players Day

Streaky

Manager⭐
A great event at Roots Hall for the Junior Blues this morning. Very well organised.

The players were excellent with the kids, signing autographs, photos, fist pumps, etc.

Also good to see a training session on the pitch - although our shooting was 💩 . Bentley can still knock a decent ball in the box.

Fantastically well behaved mini Shrimpers to add.

A fabulous morning with 80 Junior Blues members at Roots Hall, for their annual EXCLUSIVE Meet the Players Day.

We were blessed with the weather - overcast but mild and dry. Kev came over to talk to the children and explain the sequence of events before launching into training.

We saw a variety of drills and exercises, including volleying practice and some excellent goalkeeping.

All players in attendance, for the first time in years - Joe Gubbins and George Moncur not taking full part.

The children did a quiz to win a mascot package, which was won by George Moore. Then came the signing session, all done with big smiles and great good humour before our final group photo at the end.

Full album of Whitby's photos can be seen on the Junior Blues Facebook page. Thank you to everyone who came along, to the management and players, and to all my helpers from the Trust - Paul, Kev, Clare, Chris and Michelle, who made up and sourced all the 80 rolls and lunches, and to our own April, who gladly came and spent the morning with us.

Big shout out and thanks to Kay et all who ran the Junior Blues Meet the Players event today. I know my grandson enjoyed it hugely and the players and Kev. Mark and Darren were all great - signing everything and really friendly.
Good to see the training sessions although did I mistakenly see it that they seemed to practice missing the goal?!😁😁Just kidding. Again, thanks to all

Well done all. Slightly different pics posted elsewhere including one of a smiling Super Kev who appears to be ‘bulking up’
