Following on from the "food you'd miss thread" - how does everyone feel about McDonalds?

Personally, I love it
biggrin.gif
None of this "you should hear what goes in it b******s" - I dont really care, it tastes sooo good... Mmmmm...

The regional differences **** me off tho - Couldnt get a chocolate doughnut for love nor money in an Oz McD's...

I love it but prefer a whopper to a big mac. In the Bahamas they used to have a McJordan burger, with bacon and BBQ sauce. Mmmm

Sort of on the same tact, KFC in New Zealand do tubs of mashed potato and gravy and it's lovely!

I like how elsewhere in Europe you can get a lager with your McDonald's

Ahh yes remember my 21st in Ayia Napa, strolled in said establishment for a much needed hangover cure....

" I'll have a Big Mac and large fries please, oh and a pint of stella!" ....

Why cant we have that option over here.

Best MD's ever in USA. There burgers are 'proper' beef burgers, not just fried processed meat.

My sister-in-law, fresh of the plane from NZ, asked for beans in a KFC in London expecting a bean salad and was disgusted when she opened the tub to find BBQ beans.

Friend of mine went in MD's in India - as the cow is the most respected thing in the country all the burgers are made with Lamb.

Although, most amusingly, the Indian govt. had a row with McD's for ages which meant that they had no outlets in India... which meant that there was only one fast food restaurant to see & be seen in Delhi - and that was:

Wimpy's

Been to the Wimpy's in Connaught Place and had a Lamburger on a couple of occasions...

As for McD's... I get a craving about once every six months. Rest of the time I think it's cack.

The two exceptions to this rule are:

*Chocolate milkshake
*Sausage & egg McMuffin

Other than that... nah, there are tons of things I'd rather have!

I'm no stranger to the darker side of meat products but I rarely eat at McDonalds because of the stigma attached to doing so.

Like MTS above I do get an odd craving about once every six months and I hit the drive through and stuff my face with Fillet o Fish and big Macs.

I did feel compelled to try a Big mac in America though and it was no different to those in the UK. Wendys was much, much better.

My favourite fast food joint in Florida is Denny's....always my first port of call whatever time of day we land.....

Strawberry milkshake is the best, and if you want a proper milkshake get a Starburger. They have the best milkshakes I've ever tasted.

As you McDonalds, you've gotta love the McChicken sandwich with some large fries.

don't touch it personally, if given the choice would rather have a BK.

In Mumbai I had the Big Mac version... which they called a Raj Burger!

In a bit of woman like, ooh it's supposed to be not too bad for you thought, I tried the new Grilled Chicken Flatbread at McDonalds, and I have to say it's superb! Grilled Chicken in a flatbread which has spring onions baked into it, along with salsa, mayo, and lettuce.

Have to say on most occasions, I think I prefer McDonalds burgers, although that's probably because when I have something like that it's mainly at the Lakeside retail park and the BK there has a major rat problem, whilst the McDonalds doesn't.
