ARE YOU ABLE TO HELP PLEASE IN SOURCING SOME MATCH PROGRAMMES? Just before Christmas we published the results of a poll to see which past Roots Hall matches were regarded as the most ‘iconic’ after some really helpful input from SZ'oners. We've now updated the poll to take in to account responses received to the same question via a Trust member survey - a couple of movers, with the big surprise being that the first Roots Hall match drops nine places in the poll and that recent backs-against-the-wall Chesterfield win shoots up nine places to 12th.
Having now agreed arrangements with the club, we are starting to prepare some framed prints (which will be either A2 or A3 size) for the East Stand box corridor (and we will try and work out a way where they can be more publicly viewed). As and when the East Stand is redeveloped these prints will be saved for use elsewhere at the club.
Each print will contain an original match programme, some action shots, and a brief match description. We need some help please in sourcing the original match programmes.
Due to the kind generosity of Football Stadium Photography who are charging costs only, we will be able to provide the club with prints (from the new ‘SUEPA Fund’) for the majority of the 26 matches in the poll.
We will ensure that the relevant print(s) contain the credit ‘original match programme kindly donated by XYZ’.
