Since retiring from football and his subsequent gender realignment surgery Mark now lives his life as Mary Salter, the landlady of the Sunnyview Guest House, Ilfracombe, north Devon.

Mark/Mary shares his life with Moroccan partner Mustapha Mustapha and they hope to adopt a baby once Mustapha's asylum seeker status is approved.

Still playing for Frome, has scored 7 goals this season so far.

Mark Salter has called time on a glittering Frome career which saw the fans favourite score a record 292 goals in 450 appearances.

Salter has said he can no longer commit to the traveling and training for Frome and will join local side Bitton.
