MARK RAWLE is currently being sought by Nationwide Conference National sides WOKING and ALDERSHOT TOWN.
Woking manager Glenn Cockerill has offered Rawle, the former Boston United, Oxford United and Kidderminster striker, a deal but fears he may lose out if money is the main issue.
“I’m waiting for him to get back to me,” he said. “I’m hoping that what he saw on our south coast trip will have shown him how we treat players and what a good club we are. I know Aldershot have offered him a contract and while I’d like to get into an auction with them, I can’t.”
Rawle played an impressive role in the 4-2 win at Bognor Regis Town and the 2-1 win at Lewes and he indicated he would like to sign.
“We’re trying to sort something out,” he said. "I’ve spoken to a few clubs but I’ve never been in this situation where I’m trialling at different clubs. I need to get my future sorted out quickly. I’ve got a bit of talking to do with my agent and the club but I would like to sign because I do like Woking and have had a great couple of days with them. The bottom line is my agent is trying to get the best deal. But if I have to come out of the League I would prefer to sign for a club who can help me get back in.”
Who's going to drop Cockerill a line and let him know about Rawle's tendency to change his mind at the last minute?!
