Darlington have taken Italian goalkeeper Alessio Locatelli on a week's trial. Locatelli, a 24-year-old product of Inter Milan's youth system, will train with goalkeeping coach Mark Prudhoe.
Quakers boss Dave Hodgson said: "We're quite well off on the goalkeeping front but there is no harm in taking a look at him.
"Mark is going to have a good look at him and tell us what he thinks."
Hodgson added: "He is from the same agency as Jason De Vos - so we have not done bad from them in the past.
"He comes highly recommended and I have been told that he is one for the future,"
