Mark Gower and Tilly

HUTTON

Guest
Was up Romford last night, and saw Mark Gower, was talking to him for about 5 minutes, from what I got out of him Leciester came in for Tilly and offered Ron and very good offer, but Tilly told them 'NO' as he doesn't want to move his family up north, Tilly would only go to a TOP London club, I asked if W*** Spam had any chance, and my suspicions were true Tillys blood is BLUE he is Southend thru and thru and hates W*** Spam

Theres only one Stevie Tilson

Iam glad to hear that about Tilson as I never want another "Barry Fry type" as he walk out soon another club offer him a offer. We have something in common there ... I hate W@nk-Ham as well, hopefully we see W@nk-Ham as our rivals in future, I would'nt rule out that we will play them in same league.

If that were Parky (Col Ewes manager) in that postion, he would off like a shot.

How do you know that would be the case?

Because, surely, no one actually wants to stay at Layer Road...? Not even the fans do, seemingly...

Perhaps Parky likes farmyard animals and would be happy to stay there...

I meant that Parky haven't got Col Ewes running through his bloods, if any team like Reading, Luton or Leicester want him, he will do a "Barry Fry".

The way things are going at Roots Hall and the influx of local players we may well be on the way to developing our own version of the 'Anfield boot room'. We could produce from ' inhouse' our managers and coaches of the future. If one day Tilly were offered an opportunity too good to say no, I for one would wish him all the best and thank him for all he has done. His legacy may be a ready made manager, could be Spin for instance, and the continuity is preserved. It worked wonders for Liverpool for decades and I bet they look back with regret that they changed their policy and went foreign. The traditional tribal values that are the blood of football create pride and passion.

I wonder what is meant by a 'top London club'.  Would that be a london club that is currently playing in the Premier$hite or just a big London club like Arsenal or Chelsea.

West Spam have already been ruled out it seems, but how about Charlton? Isn't Curbishley being linked to the England job in some capacity?  Charlton are a biggish club established in the top flight with similar values to Southend.....

I don't want to think about it
