Man Utd turn down....

Well we are clearly aiming high and last season's glorious win over the eventual PREMIERSHIP CHAMPIONS can only do us good in our quest to sign players from these kinds of clubs. I would have thought that he wouldn't be getting into the first team squad this season and could therefore have done with some more proper match experience but maybe I was mistaken? Who are we to question Sir Alex, or maybe it's just sour grapes?

:hilarious:

Actually, having thought about it, maybe they were worried that he wouldn't get in our side. It's only really any use for the loaning side if the player is going to get some experience and I'd say our defence is pretty well covered at the moment actually with Hammell hopefully coming back fairly soon too.

Fergie said a few months ago that he wasn't looking to let many of his youngsters go out this season as he wants them in his squad.

Good to see Tilly is looking to bring in new faces. I think we could see some good competition developing in the team- it is starting in midfield and, with last weekend's vistory behind us, maybe confidence will draw stronger performances from all areas of the team. Bringing in a defender who will ruffle feathers by displacing someone whose place looks secure at the moment could be a very good thing. Everyone should feel that their place is only secure if they are performing well.

All in all maybe Tilly hasn't done so badly in building the team this season. A few more victories to provide momentum and who knows what could happen.
