I think its about time as we have least holidays out of all countries in Europes.

:guns:

We already have a load of bank holidays around this time with Easter and May Days etc... I would rather have one to fill the gap between late August and Christmas. How about one to mark the end of British Summer Time (around end October), or one for 11 November.

I agree. Good sentiment behind April 23rd (plus it is Shakespeare's birthday), but we've got plenty of holidays around that time.

July 25th is my saint's day (St James the Greater). Let's do that one.

Not to mention all the 'puentes' you have when a holiday falls on a Tuesday or a Thursday. Lazy/lucky sods. ;)

Wasn't there rumours they were trying to bring in a Trafalgar Day holiday, whenever that exactly is, as this fitted the bill as it fell between August & Christmas. The SNP are still trying to get 30 Nov (St Andrews Day) up here marked as a national holiday.

Are all the Taffs off today then?
