And re cheating the McCormack dive to for a penalty in the first half should have been a booking and Eastwood should have gone off just before he got taken off as he lost it, the red mist came down.

Great to see an old fashioned derby game though.

Hope you beat Barnsley as that would be a good result for us and iam sure you want us to beat Hull on Tuesday, strange game.

I'm sorry, but I'm gettin really fed up with Maher receiving stick about this.

It seemed like their player dived - feigned - exagerated...whatever you want to call it, and this was the umpteenth time in the game one of the col u players had rolled around as if being shot. Maher, like most of us who have seen enough of cheating and diving in football, totally fed up with it, and so told the player to get up.

the BBC essex interview, Duguid states that maher put his chest up to him and put his face into KD's face. he never said there was contact. he just said Maher's face was at KD's face. so WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY does duguid then roll around on the floor, if there was NO CONTACT?

Perhaps maher shouldn't have got involved, but as our captain, he has to stand up for our players who were playing honest football without diving, and I fully respect him for that. The fact that it was a cheating disgrace of a player who he confronted was just bad fortune, and even worse fortune that the referee was conned by it. Totally ruined the game, and for that, Duguid should be the one to blame.

You're wrong - I always want the Ewes to lose, so I personally hope Parky's return to your place sees Hull totally f%cking thrashing you. The only time I wouldn't want you to lose is if you played Wet Sham, but then I'd probably just want to see a draw with as many career ending injuries to both sets of players as possible.

I think given recent events and this morning's viewing, Col U fans might be best steering clear of these threads for a while. Where's the sense in coming onto these boards to antagonise rival supporters? Now *that* is moronic.

Maher shouldn't have put himself into that position, but it's clear from the footage and interviews that Duguid has been guilty of play-acting. I hate that element of modern football and the fact that Nakamura's wonderful free kick for Celtic against Man U was the result of a dive took some of the gloss off it for me. I also deplored Ronaldo's actions during the World Cup and I'm not even English.

Duguid falls into the same category of cheats now. I'm glad to see some Col U fans think this behaviour is unacceptable.

My view of the incident was the Maher went in and possibly fouled Duguid, although this was right in front of Bennett and he didn't blow, nor did that linesman flag who gave us nothing all afternoon. Duguid then tried to trip Maher up/kick him, forcing Maher to stumble. maher turned angrily as if to have words.

At this point I noticd the ball was falling for JCR who had room to run and so looked away. I was therefore amazed when Maher was shown a red.

It seems a bit unclear what exactly is being alleged. Some say it might have been a headbut, other say he "raised his arms" which is rather vague, others suggest it was a push in the chest. This ambiguity doesn't sound very convincing.

Having seen Maher head a ball, I doubt whether you'd actually feel a headbut from him. I'd have thought his nose would make it difficult for him to physically get the angle to headbut someone. I think this is a line the club should take in his defence, if this is what is alleged. A push in the chest is apparently only a yellow card and not a 4 match ban like it was last year.

Sorry but apparently duguid pushed or nudged maher in the back first, making him turn round. Duguid had this all planned out. Hes a cheat, you really cant defend him.
