Echo News Maher confident Shrimpers have talent to hurt teams

We do. As proven by results and points gained last season.

In fact, most agreed that we were around 4-5 players short of really pushing for the title. The recruitment so far has been ok.

Walker - a definite upgrade on what we had

Gubbins - on paper he’s an upgrade, but he hasn’t found his feet yet.

Wind - Untried and untested so far.

We are still short of a couple, an attacking midfielder (Moncur?) a striker (Tshimanga?) and a goalkeeper (although the small Arsenal lad might stay on, who knows?)

Seems we’re unlikely to get three more (IMO), but one of the above would be nice, preferably the midfield position which is where we are light.
