Luton Game

Does anyone else find the idea of watching Fridays game live down the pub more appealing than actually going to the match?

I mean, after all we've all been to hundreds of games at Roots Hall but we are very rarely on TV.

I think it's going to be great hearing the pundits discuss the relative merits of wayne Gray, mrk Gower et al.

I can't wait and I will be in the Hoy and Helmet from 5pm this Friday drinking the boys to victory.

Given the choice (which I don't have - boo), I'd rather go down to the Hall and watch the game live - it's 100% better than on TV in my view. I would indeed like to hear the pundits views on the Blues, but that's why video recorders exist!

Just catch one of the repeats in the early hours on Friday night/Saturday morning and you get the best of both worlds ...

TV for me, can't get the time off work and can't be arsed making a 320 mile round trip. I'll only curse the team thus ending our recent good run of luck.

live at the hall for me, it gives the club a few extra pennies and i can always record it and relive the glorious win whenever i chose! and i just seen the ad on sky for the game and it shows gowers cracker from the northampton game!

I am one of the few humans left in the world who has not got Sky.
Anyway no way would I count watching tv on a par with being there.
I feel for the poor souls who have no choice but to watch the tv. 8 years living in Germany means I have been through that.

No substitute for being at the game but for those that can't then live on Sky is the next best thing. Sadly they'll probably ruin it (again) with some fat tw*t that has a gripe or two with the club adding his educated comments.

dare I ask where you'll be watching it?

I have work and therefore will only be able to watch the second half on TV!

I would pick Roots Hall 100 times out of 100 if I could make it because of the atmosphere and looking where I want to rather than Sky making my mind up, I mean imagine if I missed a female streaker

Seriously though, just record the match if you have sky! Get to the ground and be that extra voice to help cheer them on.

I'm no doctor but you sound like you have a nasty bout of flu brewing up there. I recommend a few days off work just to be safe.

Im in the pub for this one. I have fridays off, so I could so easily come down for it. Tempting......

I'm going. Wild horses wouldn't stop me. (Actually, they might. Wild horses are quite powerful. But you know what I mean.)
