While he played for us he never really was given the chance to prove himslef.

he appears to have made himself at home with Weymouth under Steve Claridge.

He scored a hat-trick in the 8-5 FA Trophy win against Lewes on Saturday. He plays as a wing-back for them!

We always appear to let the good ones go!

Roscoe Dsane is another who we let slip through.

Both playing at a lower level. Hence the argument doesnt really work.

Steve Kabba on the other hand was the one thatgot away.

If I recal correctly Webby was bringing in Kabba and Dsane but it fell through before about a year later we finally got Dsnae. Kabba of course despite his injury problems has been imense at Sheffield Utd.

That was the one I was just trying to remember.

Dsane was give a chance at 3rd division level, I distinctly remember him missing at Shrewsbury when seemingly easier to score.......

Personally I felt we should have kept Nightingale. Pre-season we looked short of a goal-scorer. Both Nightingale and Griffiths looked to me to be goalscorers. Admittedly both looked far from fit as well, but I'd have taken a gamble on them.

Nightingale was only using us to get fit and wanted to get back to Brighton to have another crack at getting in the first team. Didn't seem to work, did it?

It was Portsmouth, Dave.

However, in response to Terry, seeings as they had already released him,and had been promoted to the Premiership over the summer, it was a bit of a futile attempt really!
