2009/2010 Overview of the season/How will our season pan out? - I think we'll end up better than a lot of people expect, I expect our customary struggle over the Winter period and the prophets of doom descending on here

2009/2010 Player of the Year - I so hope Macca can show a lot of people how seriously they've misjudged him, but could honestly be anyone

Any other random comments/predictions? Reckon Tilly will have at least one Manager of the Month award, and that we'll have one player on the Team of the Season at the end of the year. Also reckon we'll have a similar season to last year with the FA Cup, bit of a struggle, then another big 3rd round draw - not quite as big as last year though!

Well last season we scored 58 and Barnard scored 11 of them, so I wouldn't be surprised at all. Especially considering the amount of players we'll no doubt go through this season. ;)

2009/2010 Overview of the season/How will our season pan out? - Similiar to last season I feel. Solid enough start, shocking Xmas period, excellent run of form after Xmas. Flirt with the play-offs but ultimately miss out. A decent Cup run as well.

2009/2010 Player of the Year - Mildenhall. Think any lingering doubts about him will be put to rest.

2009/2010 Outstanding Defender - Mvoto if we ever actually sign him.

2009/2010 Outstanding Midfielder - Lee Sawyer. Even if we only get 6 months out of him, he will still be our best midfielder.

2009/2010 Outstanding Striker - Lee Barnard. I'm feeling a decent, injury free run, with goals a plenty.

2009/2010 Top Goalscorer/Goals Scored - Lee Barnard - 18.

Club makes further progress made on the Stadium - YES. The diggers will be in around Christmas time, to give us some rest bite on here from the people calling for Tilson's head after our usual Christmas slump.

2009/2010 Most improved player - Walker, if his given the chance or Laurent if he carries on his pre-season form.

2009/2010 Most disappointing player (He's let himself down there!) - Macca. I'm predicting a storming early season run in the side from Sawyer, Macca regaining his place when Sawyer goes and leaving us all a bit disappointed by it all.

Any other random comments/predictions? I'm guessing that TTK and Wiggy will only appear after defeats, or Mildenhall errors. I'm guessing another Christmas slump. I'm guessing people calling for Tilson's head around January time, only for him to bring in a couple of crackers in January then we have our excellent end of season form.

I'd just like to add another point if i may :)

People are tipping us to have a decent start, but Aug/Sept doesn't look overly easy by any stretch of the imagination;

Swindon and Walsall SHOULD be 6 points IMO, (but you never can tell)

'Udders, Millwall, Wycombe, Orient, Leeds, Brighton and Brentford are all tough games for one reason or another...

Lucky to take 15 points? thoughts?...

1. Tilly will sign Lee Sawyer in the January transfer window, on a permanent deal, along with Mvoto, also on a permanent (I hope!)
2. Tilly will sign a defender, or extend the loan of either (or both) Heath and White.
3. We will reach at least the third round of both the Carling Cup, and the FA Cup, whilst we will have a brilliant run in the Johnsons Paint Trophy.
4. We will do a 6-pointer over the scum also known as C*l Ewe!
5. When Brighton start struggling in the league nearer the end of the season, Spartan will NOT post on this site for a while, due to him getting major stick from the fans on this site.

Come on Southend, 3 pts on Saturday, lets get this season started on a high note! UTB!

2009/2010 Overview of the season/How will our season pan out? - A very slow start, losing 4 of the first 7, will see particularly ugly scenes on SZ.com and in the stands. Tilly will then pull a rabbit out of the hat by signing someone none of us expects, and we go on a fantastic run in September & October, winning 7 out of the next 9 to see us on the fringes of the playoffs. Injuries to Freedman and Barnard begin to take their toll, seeing us drift to mid-table by the turn of the year. The departures of M'voto and Sawyer at the end of their loan deals hit us hard, but Moussa continues to shine in midfield and so we go through a repetitive five-game cycle of WDWLL for the rest of the season, finishing 13th.
