But we have deffo signed someone else my source just wont tell me who as he doesnt want to found out as a mole. Lock it if you want but my source was bang on with the kid from leicester . You heard it here first.

Have we definitely signed someone, or was your contact's news going to be that we haven't signed anyone at all and that we wouldn't be...?

It's just a pity that some people can't keep information told in confidence to themselves. There's no doubt been plenty of things told to most of us here by either players or club officials we've got to know but the vast majority don't have the attitude of "I know something you don't".

Just an observation really.
 
Ha! Fair dos. I didn't mean it as a bad thing though. You need to be ruthless to keep this board in check sometimes!

I hope that isnt directed at me. I heard something that i thought would be gratefuly received and posted it and it was true . you heard it here before sms or OS . I wont bother if thats the case.
 
Hard to tell if someone is 'told in confidence' I guess. I get excited about things like this so if I got told about an imminent signing before it went public, I'd be hard-pressed not to reveal it unless explicitly told not to. I knew a month in advance that Tommy Black would sign for us as soon as his Palace contract was up, and I revealed it because my source hadn't told me to keep it private.

Like I say, it is purely an observation, not directed at anyone in particular, except perhaps those that have indeed behaved in such a manner.

And for the record I didn't hear it here first. Or read about it here first. A bloke who works in the postroom told me and I value his word, as a supporter of 40+ years standing, more than any other media outlet.
