Loan Striker- Neil Harris...?

Right, now i know this was mentioned a couple of weeks ago by someone, but Neil Harris has been told that he is basically surplus to requirements at Millwall.

Now, Tilly has said he is in the market for a loan striker as we only have one recognised striker who is fully fit- James Walker- and yes Kanu can play up top too.

So...Neil Harris...?

I don't see why not, and i am not just saying this because i know him personally and he lives 3 doors down from me- I personally think he will add experience to our front line and help (ok maybe only till the end of the season) players like Walker and Barnard to enhance their game, i.e. like Shaun Goater did for Freddy. Ok, he isn't as prolific no more as he used to be when the likes of Palace (when they were in the Prem) and Blackburn were after him, but why not give him a shout. Like i said, i think he would add experience to the front line, like Goater did two years ago, and help us on our way to promotion.

Thoughts...

To old and slow end of story. Not sure of his tally of goals in the last couple of seasons but I guess its not even a dozen.

My thoughts: Has Harris got you on a retainer?

Hasn't scored more than a dozen goals in the past 4 years, a striking has-been I'm afraid.

Reminds me of when we got Steve Jones in from Wet Spam.

If he isn't good enough for Millwall ..................... :nope:

................ then he ain't good enough for us!

;) ;) ;)

Haha, lmao! No he hasn't!

I was just having a little think back to the days (two years ago) of Shaun Goater, and the impact he had on that lad Freddy!

But hey never mind, just, you know, i thought i would bring it up, as after all Tilly wants the record for most strikers used in a season!

Maybe a few years ago, but not now.

I wonder if that rumour about Terry Dixon will come true now....

Would rather we recalled Hooper to be honest than get Harris in

Good shout!

I hear Dixon's body just won't hold up to Professional Football. He's was rated very highly at Spurs but it just won't happen for him.

Shame.

Can't we use any of the youth team strikers they have done well this season.
What happened to the swedish kid we signed?

he is only 16... to be honest we might aswell give henry a cpl of benches before the end of the season. but if we are going to get another striker on loan i think we need someone with experience. leeds just signed that guy from palace and i think we cld do with someone like that

The step up from youth to senior is a massive one, thats not the answer.

Look how long we have been "breaking in" Moussa.

Scoring against other 16 year olds is one thing, but to do it in a team under pressure in front of 8,000 people against seasoned pros is a whole different ball game. Well same ball game, but a harder ball game.
