Loan Expiry Dates...

So our playoff push is in full flight and we are all optimistically looking forward to a potential trip to Wembley... but of our loan players who would potentially not be able to play???

This has been discussed in other threads but it seems unclear. It sounds as if Walker can play up as far as the semis but not the final?! What about Robson-Kanu, Grant, Mulgrew???

Seeing as the season will be long finished for Chelsea/Reading etc, I can't see it being a problem to extend them by a week or two, especially if they're going to be permanent in the summer.

Not sure of how long loans were for (e.g. if they were the 3 month maximum ones or if they were for a specified period of time) but here's a list of the dates the players joined.

Hal Robson-Kanu 30/01/08
Charlie Mulgrew & Anthony Grant 31/01/08
James Walker 15/02/08

I am guessing those loans organised in the transfer window allow for longer than the 3 month (93 day) emergency loan, therefore we should be OK for them to be around for the playoffs.

Good work... sounds more promising than first thought :)

Dont we have a option on James Walker at the end of the season due to the **** up over the heart problem, the first time around?

As for Charlie Mulgrew, we need to sign him and quick!!!!

I think the others, as good as they are will be out of our reach financially. Shame really as i think they could be good for us!!!

I'd pretty sure that's how it works, yeah.

So hopefully Hoops can keep his goalscoring and confidence up whilst he's out on loan. It'll be interesting to see what will happen if both us and Hereford make the Playoffs.
