I have no choice. I can't get BBC Essex where I live. I have tried 765MW and have managed to hear one word every minute in amongst the interference, but that is just frustrating.

I would pay for Blues Player, but a) most games people are complaining they can't get a connection, and b) it's rare that I have time to listen if I'm not actually at the match so it would be a lot to pay for, say, one or two matches a season.

Twitter it is for me too.

Can you not listen to BBC Essex through the internet?

BBC is country specific. However, if you download something like Tunnel Bear(it's free), you can switch your I.P address to the U.K. it works then.

I will have the blues player cranked up tonight .And as normal just as we attack the sound breaks up .And I will start swearing because I don't know what the hell is going on at an important time .But hay ho that the blues player for you .

Hi I can help. "Corr fzzzt fzzztz fzttzttz goal fzztzfzttzf ffz\t ttzfffz Yellow ca ... ffttzttzfztzft "

I can't just listen to the radio, I have to do something, otherwise I'd crack up. It's an awful experience , the commentary is great but just listening is awful, but I must listen. Luckily tonight there's a huge pile of ironing that should get me through the 90 minutes

Listening via the radio or bluesplayer is extremely frustrating because you can only visualise what is happening, not see it. But if you're not at the match what else can you do. Think back to pre bluesplayer or internet etc, how painful was that...........checking teletext every 30 secs.

Of course, you can also be following the posts on here at the same time. I always find Murkey Mouse's succinct comments on Col U's fortunes very therapeutic when I'm wound up.

I've often considered that with my dad!

It works well . Have done it a couple of times with my mum who was listening anyway, and then with my wife ---- who took the radio into the garage so she would not have to listen to 'more football xxxx'. lots of people have mobile phone and land lines so once the match finishes phone them on the other line so they know they can now put the phone down and turn off the radio (assuming they are not listening ).

In my student days living in Stoke I watched the entire Col Ewe LDV Area Final second leg on Ceefax. Absolute agony, especially when they didn't bother to refresh the page at full time for a good five minutes after we were already home and dry. First I'd heard we'd won was my brother phoning me from the comfort of the Spread.

Listen to every game I dont attend, which is mainly away games.

Even bought a DAB tuner for my hifi for that very purpose. Away games generally on DAB with home games on FM (alternating with Col U, which is fair so both their fans can tune in).

I think we are lucky with the coverage we get from BBC Essex and a fan of the commentary team who make it a good listen.

I am sadly in Oxford this evening so will be making do with Blues Player, which can be frustrating at times.

In our last house here in Hadleigh Suffolk the only place I could get 95.3 fm was on the car on the drive so many a time I was found to be out there rain, sunshine, hot, cold or in darkness. Slight improvement in the current house (same town) as I can now pick up a good signal in the conservatory, but only if the lights are turned off. So around 9.30 this eve wifey heard a yelp of joy from the dark. UTB

I couldn't make the League 2 play-off final as was away on family holiday so got my dad to sign up to the text alerts. Just remember sitting there looking at the phone waiting for it to buzz with a goal update!

I couldn't get to Bury tonight after the weekend in Devon so relied on BBC radio tonight. I was so nervous I had to steam clean the kitchen. As Worrall took the Free kick I stopped and prayed and then went berserk legging it out of the kitchen only to slip on the shiny wet floor. Woke the boy up who had just finally gone down to sleep. Great coverage tonight with the sensitive interviews. My only criticism of Alliker and Co is the lack of tough questions in interviews. I find them generally very sterile safe journalism.
