The best bit is Thornton had his appeal for his red card rejected. :D

I believe he's now been sent off twice this season. Should have been three. I wonder if referees have talked about his antics on the first day of the season and are watching him.

Hopefully Hearn will get the LOFC legal team to ask the FA to also explain Wise's prematch comments regarding the referee too!

Face facts, if Wise hadn't played mind games with the ref, he wouldn't have had such an awful game!

Agreed Glasgow - they need to be even handed about things. When will they start cracking down on managers making statements like Wise's before games? It's just as bad as criticising the ref after the game...

It has. Freddy being sent off for a push and then having his ban increased on appeal.

Torquay at home last game of the season a few years back. Torquay complained about the referee before the game and, lo and behold, he waived away a blatant penalty in the last few minutes that would surely have led to an equaliser and Torquay not gaining promotion.

I just find it funny that Thornton has been sent off twice this season, and wonder if his antics on the first day have brought him to the attention of referees.
