Fantastic atmosphere! If only we could take that many away on a regular basis.
Poor match in general, lost count the amount of misplaced passes we had. Hall didn't turn up today, so we failed to create many chances. Evans' costly mistake must surely mean Morris comes back in? Sturrock was the pick of a bad bunch, worked hard and won quite a few headers, even if nothing come of them. Not to mention his simple goal which brought it level. Bit of quality from Grimes and our defense not playing to the whistle contributed to a loss at an awful ground.
Tough ask for a play-off finish now, but hey, we would've taken league safety at the beginning of the season.

Not a great game. Bobbly pitch which caused some issues with controlling the ball.....however, we were far too guilty of giving the ball away too often which cant be blamed on the pitch.

Barker played well again. The rest were average at best.

I do wonder what Evans has done to be the no 1 keeping choice. Does not inspire confidence each time I see him play even if he makes a couple of decent saves. I wonder what Morris has done to lose his place other than a bout of flu....he cant still be ill surely? Serious manflu if he is.

Apart from the tools who turned up....well done to all who made the trip to Lincoln

Averageness all over the park. Gifted them goals and probably the worse i've seen Coughlan and Barker play together. I'd say now the play-offs are gone to give Prosser a game or two at CB and put Barker at LB especially if Gilbert is out for a week or longer. PS now needs to play Crawford, Prosser, Soares and see if they can earn a contract for next season as im sure he knows who he will definetely want to keep but there might be 4/5 who is unsure about!

We were poor. Ref played a shocker as well, with all the Lincoln players pulling our players all over the place, with nothing being done. Nearly everytime the ball was played up to Corr, the defenders arms were round him. I do think that we did leave ourself wide open on the left hand side in the first half. Their right back could get forward and Gilbert had two players to deal with.

Evans 6 - Kicking was poor and gifted them their first goal. Made a good reaction save in the second half though.
Clohessy 6.5 - Could blame him for the second as he stood on the half way line with his hand in the air when the ball went over his head, but he had a decent game and did well going forward
Barker 7 - Thought he had a good game and played the ball well out of defence.
Coughlan 6.5 - Did well clearing the ball and not too slow either for a man of his age.
Gilbert 6 - Played ok, but was sloppy at times.
Ferdinand 7 - First time I've seen him. Looks like a really good player with some decent touches. Got tackled by Spencer, not sure whether that was lack of awareness or no-one giving him a shout.
Sawyer 7.5 MoM - Our only real spark in midfield. Drove us forward and was the only one that looked for a pass, except maybe Ferdinand, instead of the hoof ball.
Easton 6.5 - Played a tidy game, but gave the ball away for the initial shot before their first goal.
Hall 6 - His deliveries let him down. He had a half chance to score after some good build-up play on the right hand side and a good ball from Clohessy, but couldn't guide it on target
Sturrock 7 - Nice composed finish, put himself about and was a real handful for the Lincoln defence. Chased everything down and looked gutted after they scored their second. Looked like he was apologising to the fans after the game.
Corr 6.5 - Was winning a lot of headers in the air, but doesn't seem to be 100% fit, or maybe it is just me.

SUBS
Grant 7 - I thought that he helped drive our midfield forward, and got a yellow card for moaning at the ref after he was pulled back several times.
Comminges 6.5 - Thought he did ok there. Tried to link up with Hall, when he was on the pitch.
Asante N/A - Was on for about 5-6 minutes and the only thing he could do was be in an offside position.

Before the match, Lincoln had a banner saying "Thank you Ron Martin" ..... reckon we could borrow that?

I felt Barker was our most assured player.Hall diappointing

Average pitch and a poor stadium, surprised at only 2500 home supporters

I am of course completely partisan, but didn't see a lot to beat there really, esp in first half when we were the better side

Had been looking forward to the game for ages and at the end it was all a bit anti climatic for me
T&B are pulling Lincoln up the table in much the same way as they did for us in 2003-2004

some people pronounce his name "reece", some people pronounce his name "rice" i pronounce it "abysmal".

still had a nice chinese this evening in some outer lincoln backwater with a mate from up there so every cloud eh?

Good point, although it will be interesting to see in the highlights whether Evans' fumble was due to a bad bounce. It certainly affected out better players. I am very worried about our defence though. For all that we seem to give high individual player ratings week after week for every member of our defence except Gilbert, it remains the case that we have only kept 2 clean sheets in 2011 (16 games). This is clearly what is letting us down as we have scored in every one of those games except Shrewsbury at home.

Why do we continue to conceed the first goal. We have conceed the first goal 23 times this season, the same as the bottom 2 in Barnet and Stockport. What is said in the dressing room before the game. At least we have the character to respond, but its really getting on my wick.

I'm going to stick my neck out and say that it is the strikers. Both of them seem to be playing the "target man" role, as either Corr will flick it on to Sturrock, who hasn't got the pace, or Sturrock will chest it down to on of the midfielders. I don't think either of them will be comfortable running through on goal with the ball. Corr did in the first half, but took too many touches and the chance had gone.

In an ideal world, we need a pacey striker who plays on the last man, which could be Asante as he is pretty quick and, looking at his goals tally, isn't bad at finishing either, although, bringing him on in the 86th minute with a keeper who can't kick straight isn't going to help.
