Leon Knight!

Winkle

Manager
Read some of the points last week regarding Leon Knight, but cant help thinking maybe if we could get him on loan and see if he up for the chalenge we wouldnt be loosing anything!

leon linky!

Reading the above linky still a bit unsure what the problem  he has at swansea, worth a bash in my books!

Maybe so but look how he ruined Swansea's promotion charge las season. They looked unstoppable before he went there. We dont need a player like him when in a relegation battle.

I doubt it was all down to him

Didnt he actually score more than Trundle though ? (edit: He was their top scorer once he arrived so if anything he surely kept them going when Trundle dried up...)

I think in a relegation battle we need talent who can put the ball in the net so we arent relying so much on Frederick. Knight may not be a model professional and might not be the right person to do it, but I cant see how we would get someone with his record for that sort of price.

sign him up, we rely far to much on freddy, we need a goalscoring partner for him and i cant see any other natural goalscorers coming avaliable any time soon.

Well like I said in my original post, get him on loan and then tilly can see excactly if hes up for it, if not we can send him back once the loan period ends and no harms done!

if it helps, the word on the street at work is he had a training ground bust up/fight with Andy Robinson. Not sure how much truth is in that, but it's what i've been told

definitely not going to happen, straight from the horses mouth ( well Tilly ).

doesn't want another bad apple upsetting team spirit, he's had enough of that already with a certain other striker

I couldn't care less about his attitude - its his ability I'd have reservations about. Knight's goalscoring record in this league isn't anything to write home about and I can't see how he'd partner Eastwood. If we're going for a little guy alongside Fred I'd sooner give Hoops a run. To be honest though I'd rather keep Harrold or Bradbury up there.

Would rather sign Andy Robinson than Knight. Dunno what he has been playing like this season, but last season he looked more than capable of playing at a higher level and in the play- off final he was easily the best player on the pitch, he didn't stop running all game and certainly didn't deserve to be on the losing side. Plus he was averaging a goal every 4 games from midfield, something we desperately need.

I could. This team draws heavily on its team spirit. That was clearly compromised by Ricketts; now he's gone, we're turning a corner already.

Besides, young Hooper is a fair bit larger in the flesh than I thought. He looks like he can handle himself in this league... give the lad a crack, I reckon.

NOPE!
We've already had one primadonna upset a whole squad, why get someone else in who might do an ever better job?

Thank you & goodnight!
