Leon Corts contract runs out on July 1st. As he is still in the employ of Southend United would it not be a bad idea for the board to have him repaint the toilets in the east stand...maybe sell a few goods in the club shop and let the girls put their feet up. Maybe personally write a letter to each season ticket holder apologising etc...must we pay him until the 1st July just to loll around doing buggery all?

I heard a rumour he's got a brother living somewhere between Newcastle and Wolverhampton, perhaps he may be able to stay with him?

Problems:

A) He doesn't like counting small change any more.

B) Footballer / writing. That's a paradox worth mulling over for the slightest chance it could happen!

Hull is such a lovely place too! I remember the opening game of last season - armed riot police, police helicopter circling the whole game and the site of Hull fans fighting themselves in the car park after the game.

I've been all over supporting Southend, but I am not afraid to admit that I was scared at walking round Hull!! It was so bad that my father-in-law who came with me (and has seen plenty of 'action' having grown up in Govern) did a 3 point turn in a little side street as a gang of about 10 Hull fans had spotted us getting back to the car and were waiting at the end of the road!

Yea, good luck Leon finding a nice detatched house in that sh*t hole!
