Leo Roget

Now player coach at St Albans City. Saw them in 1-1 draw with Lewes on Saturday, lots of Southend connections, Mark Beard was playing and Ritchie Hanlon is new St Albans manager. There was also a Paul Smith playing, not sure if it same one as played for us and Gills.

Interview with Leo to appear in next month's All At Sea. He's a top man.

Memories of time at Roots Hall, highs and lows, why he left, career afterwards, hopes for St Albans etc etc...

Some of his comments re Alvin Martin's managerial capabilities are hilarious!:)

Seems he got disillusioned with the game and retired aged 29.

Full interview in next month's AAS out for Crewe game, don't miss it!

Saints lost 5-0 last night, get that clown Hanlon out!

Three players have been released by manager Ritchie Hanlon in the form of Leo Roget, Michael Harvey and Paul Smith.
Alex Olcott, a graduate from the Oaklands academy, has signed forms for the club this morning.

St Albans City have announced that manager Ritchie Hanlon has parted company with the club. Chairman John Gibson said "I feel sorry for Ritchie as luck hasn't gone his way with regard to injuries but this is a results business. We hoped that results would improve after the positive displays in the Bishops Stortford and Lewes games but unfortunately this was not the case and we have had no choice but to part company."
Senior members of the squad will take training sessions and further statements from the club including the announcement of a successor for Ritchie will be issued in due course
