League One - latest betting

Uncle Leo

Latest best prices and the bookmaker offering said odds:

Forest........5/2 (generally available)
Leeds........10/3 (Stan James)
Swansea....10/1 (Ladbrokes, SkyBet)
Southend...16/1 (SkyBet, Victor Chandler)
Tranmere....20/1 (Ladbrokes)
Doncaster...20/1 (Coral)
Carlisle.......20/1 (BetFred, Ladbrokes, Victor Chandler)
Hartlepool...25/1 (SkyBet, Victor Chandler)
Orient........25/1 (Ladbrokes SkyBet, Victor Chandler)

28/1 or bigger bar these

This is the odds on winning the league not on promotion, right?

Yes, that is to win League One.

Each way odds are one quarter the first three, so back as each way at 16/1 and you get 16/1 on us finishing first and 4/1 on us finishing 2nd or 3rd.

I'll hunt down some promotion prices in a bit....

Interesting that Tranmere are longer odds than we are to get promoted.
16-1 isn't bad, but we're never going to win this league so plain old promotion odds would be a better value bet IMO.

To be promoted (by any means, this includes play-offs):

Forest........5/6 (Stan James)
Leeds.........11/10 (Stan James)
Swansea.....5/2 (Paddy Power)
Tranmere....4/1 (bet365, Coral)
Southend....4/1 (bet365, Paddy Power, Coral)
Carlisle........6/1 (bet365)
Doncaster....6/1 (Coral)
Yeovil.........13/2 (totesport)
Luton..........7/1 (Coral)

10/1 or bigger the rest

Yes.. our start has been easier than mosts in the amount of lower placed clubs we have played.. We havnt beaten a top half team yet.. ok you have to put the lower ranked teams away but you cant afford to lose to all the top half dozen home and away

Thats an interesting point, if you look at Dirty Leeds... they have beaten us, Forest, Swansea, Tranmere, Hartlepool and Yeovil so far

Makes a change - it seems we usually struggle against 'bottom' teams!
