The draw for the First Round of the LDV Vans Trophy will take place this Saturday (28 August) on Sky Sport's 'Soccer AM'.

The following teams werew drawn to receive a bye through to the Second Round :

Northampton Town, Oldham Athletic, Swindon Town and Tranmere Rovers.

Southern Section Competing Teams (First Round) :

AFC Bournemouth, Aldershot Town, Barnet, Boston United, Brentford, Bristol City, Bristol Rovers, Cambridge United, Cheltenham Town, Colchester United, Dagenham & Redbridge, Exeter City, Kidderminster Harriers, Leyton Orient, Luton Town, Milton Keynes Dons, Oxford United, Peterborough United, Rushden & Diamonds, Shrewsbury Town, Southend United, Stevenage Borough, Swansea City, Torquay United, Walsall, Woking, Wycombe Wanderers, Yeovil Town.

We have the Southern Section Championship title to 'defend'!

Agreed. I think the four teams who competed the Northern / Southern Section finals should have been given those byes. Maybe we should point that out to the Football League for next season?

Other than Swansea away... I think we had all home draws last season [except for the two leg area final of course!], but I think it would be a big ask for that sort of scenario this season... but who knows!
