Those of you who have Junior Blues in the family should make sure you have a read of the newsletter which should be in your inboxes today (please check in your junk if you don't see it by end of today).

In this issue, we are pleased to announce details of the upcoming exclusive annual Easter activity, which this year is being held at Caddies, who, I have to say have gone out of their way to make us welcome.

After some criticism, we have changed the way we are booking events, and there will be a draw for places rather than first come, first served. We've done this to try and be as inclusive to everyone as possible and to give everyone a fair chance.

There's also the chance to vote for the Junior Blues Player of the Year, and to be in with a chance of presenting the award.

You know, it's really strange. You post an event up and have it first come, first served and it sells out within a few hours and you have people clamouring for space.

Increase the number of spaces and offer a more relaxed booking system and the event is only just over half full!

Two days left to book in for the Junior Blues Easter event on 10th April. Players are looking forwards to it!

Typical ah?

The JB is a great organisation run very well. I would really recommend getting your kids joined up. Also makes a great birthday present for friends kids.

Behavioural economics, it's quite interesting. First come first served creates perception of scarcity, so people believe it is more valuable and demand goes up.

Your alternative is to charge people up front and refund them when they turn up to the event. Puts people off booking it on the off-chance they can go, just because they saw the offer in time, but is a higher entry barrier.

I never got round to signing Dylan up to this. Will make sure I do so for next season. He met Nick Hayes a couple of home games back after watching him warm up before the game (my lad is now a certified keeper!) and Nick was great with him and very welcoming which was lovely to hear (the wife was there) He apparently has very big hands…!! 😑😳

That's kind of what we're doing this time. If we don't reach the 80 then it makes it much easier on the refund angle!!!
