Memory Lane Last time we won a home game on a Saturday - 24 Feb 2024

LBBlue

Manager⭐
24 Feb Aldershot 4-1
9 Mar. Dagenham and Redbridge 1-1
23 Mar Woking 0-0
20 April Rochdale 1-2
10 Aug. York 1-1
14 Sept Sutton 1-3
28 Sept. Gateshead 1-3
5 Oct. Maidenhead 0-2

That’s 8 Saturday home games since we last won.

Before the Aldershot game

10 Feb. York 0-1
3 Feb. Gateshead 0-1
6 Jan. Halifax 3-0
16 Dec. Bromley 1-2
9 Dec. Hampton and Richmond 2-2

Gives us 2 wins in the last 13

Before that we actually beat Chesterfield 2-1 on 18 Nov and Solihull Moors 5-0 on 21 Oct.

The other 4 Saturday home games were Oldham 5 Aug 4-0
19 Aug Hartlepool 2-3
2 Sept Kidderminster 2-1
23 September Fylde 1-2

6 wins in 19 Saturday home games since the start of last season and 9 defeats.

For those like me who only attend Saturday home games, it’s pretty grim reading.
Do I really want to spend 6 hours travelling there and back for such little reward?

Shocking stats, I can’t see much changing until the January transfer window.
But are we an attractive club to come to nowadays . Is there going to be enough talented players available? Lots of questions but we have to wait until January I guess.

So don’t wins on Bank Holiday Mondays and Tuesday nights count then? Or even away wins on Saturdays?

I'd like to see the stats for Friday night and Tuesday night games at Roots Hall. We always seem to perfom better under the lights and the atmosphere is 10x better also. Not a huge fan of Saturday 3pm games at RH, they always seem a bit dull.

Wonder what the reason is for the lack of Friday night games this season?....as above we always appear to perform better and the crowds tend to be larger and noisier as well.

Bring a few back please COSU!

Bring back some Friday night home games! Especially when we have a midweek game the following week.

Certainly not, because I as a long distance supporter I only attend Saturday home games. There was a time when we couldn’t buy a home win on a Tuesday evening.

Any explanations as to why we are so poor on Saturdays at home. In 2 of those 6 wins the opposition had 10 men for most of the second half…. and Solihull Moors always let us win.

I always think the evening games with floodlights creates a better atmosphere.
