Unusually, started drinking a lot earlier in the Blue Boar about 5ish so I was pretty merry by the time I got there. Not sure whether it was the beers or not but the game seemed very, very easy considering that Bristol were playing a team in the automatics.

I expected them to come out and really press us but it never really materialised and I reckon we could have palyed all night and they still wouldn't have scored. Even that slightly jokey freek kick that seemed to get moved when the ref took a player encroaching as dissent.

At the other end, I really felt we could have had five or six if we'd put away a couple of chances and Wayne Gray really deserved a hattrick but couldn't quite keep his cool to put in a couple of chances that would have capped fine moves.

As for the goals themselves, I think Rovers may have felt hard done by because they had a touch of fortune for each. The first one was excellent work by Gray and excellent supprot play from Bentley but it really did hit him rather than him knowing much about it. The penalty, I thought at the time was very soft and just looked like a collision between players rather than any intent. Saw it on SSN but you can't really see the incident.

Still, as I say, there was only really one team there tonight and if we hadn't scored the two goals, I'm convinced we would have scored at some point.

Fantastic crowd too. Really felt like something special was going on on the pitch. Hopefully the two great performances in front of massive crowds will boost the Cardiff numbers.

and of course....

WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE!!
