Question Laptop 300?

Anyone know if it is possible to get a good laptop (for internet and college work) for aroung 300 - 400 pounds could the point me in the right direction please as I have no clue about pc and laptops...

I got my son a laptop from Tesco Direct. Bought through quidco and got a bit off that price aswell.

Does the job and is perfectly good enough for most things. Alot of people just use "office" or equiv and the t'internet.
 
Staples do a Fujitsu Siemens with 3gb of RAM for around 350 quid at the moment I believe. They're decent laptops (I have one, cost me 380 last year with just 1gb RAM!) and I'm your age.

In fact the one I have is now available for £255, shows how much improvement you see in them over a year.

This looks pretty good! Didn't get round to getting mine at the weekend, and I might go for this instead. A little less memory (still loads for my requirements), but £140 cheaper!

Called Staples and they've got lots in stock apparently. Price is £349.99
