What type of contract was he on with us? What type of contract was he on when he first signed for Norwich? And what is the difference between those and a pro contract?

He was on our books as a schoolboy when he made his debut. He then signed what will have been two year scholarship last summer, equivalent to the old YTS. This is the only type of contract players under 17 can sign and covers the players education as well as development. When he transferred to Norwich he will have moved his scholarship from Southend to Norwich. As a scholar they'll get some money but my understanding is that it's more pocketmoney than a proper footballer's salary.

He's now signed a professional deal which is when they start to get really paid. He's signed for the maximum permittable amount of time for his age - 3 years - which isn't at all surprising when they paid a transfer fee for him.
 
Looks like his loan ended in December with limited appearances. Anyone know what and how he's been doing since then?
 
Hopefully he can drop down, get himself a decent club and find some form. But his stats really don’t make for great reading.

55 combined total appearances for us, Norwich under-18’s, Norwich under-21’s, Norwich under-23’s and Chelmsford with just one goal to his name which was a penalty for Norwich under-18’s 🫣
