Breaking News Justin is on Glenn's Phone In 6.00pm tonight

JR hopes contracts sorted in the next couple of months regards RH and Ron’s FF deal with the Council.

Well worth a listen.
Excellent to hear the Brentwood perspective on this game. They are absolutely delighted to be playing Southend at home. It's the draw their Chairman was praying for. It also gives them a chance to attract more fans going forward. They normally get about 300 at home, so having 1250 cheering them on, might make some of them extra fans turn up for their league games. That's what they're hoping. Glenn is a brilliant interviewer as usual, asking a lot of the right questions. Justin answers honestly, basically admits it's no bed of roses and quite costly, but he seems to be enjoying it all, and we couldn't ask for a better man at the helm. He mentions there's a lot off the pitch the consortium have done, training ground, Roots Hall, etc, but lots more to do, and it will take time, but they're getting there. He said COSU have a budget, but it's not rigid. The fact he makes himself available and approachable, is a massive bonus.

I watched the other interview he did earlier with that lad Luke the Halifax fan. Just made me realise how very lucky we were when he came along out of the blue. I honestly don’t know if we’d still exist if JR hadn’t thought hmm there’s a project.. Such a down to earth sensible bloke. Made me far less bothered about our current league position and more certain we will get to where we want to be, whether it takes 2, 4, 6 or more years. What a contrast to the RM years.
