Justin Edinburgh

SUFC Forever

Manager
Justin Edinburgh's job at Grays Athletic must surely be on the line now after they lost 2-0 at home to Weymouth last night in front of just over 700 peaople.

Grays Athletic have now not scored at home for 6 matches and are slipping down the conference table at the rate of knots. Can't see Mick Woodward putting up with that for much longer and he surely has to be looking down the barrell now.:guns:

This is exactly what happened to them last season as well - started well, faded badly mid-season and they only just escaped relegation.

Woodward's a temperamental enough chap as it is - he threatened to shut the club down recently because the fans were on his back - so I can't see Justin lasting much longer before he gets the bullet.

Edinburgh is an abysmal manager. I dont know why they appointed him in the first place.

Well he did well to keep them up last season after they looked liked they would likely be relegated from the Conference (after the club had had Frank Gray, Mick Woodward and Andy King in charge previous to Justin in that same season) but you have to say he has had an abysmal start this year and never pulled up any trees previously at Fisher or Billericay either.

Billericay finished second to Yeading the second year he was in charge IIRC, and he got Fisher promoted to the Conference South (although a lot of the ground work had been already done for him).

He's not done anything spectacular though, Grays probably only appointed him to retain some stability after all those managerial changes (he was assistant manager there)

Amazing scenario at Grays. Justin survived but the Assistant Manager, Jimmy Dack was sacked and four players including dear old James Lawson have been placed on the transfer list.

Like it - don't score in 6 home games and slipping down the Conference table and they sack the Assistant!!! Justin must be gone soon however if things do not improve surely?

Grays lost 2-0 tonight in their FA Cup replay v Lewes tonight and after the recent abysmal results, that surely has to be Justin's lot now.

Oops.

Mick Woodward has a bit of an itchy trigger finger, so I wouldn't be surprised if he got the boot afer that.
