Just like to thanks Southend fans on 18.40 from Leeds

Just like to say a big thank you to the Southend fans on the 18.40 from Leeds for putting up with an hours gloating from my seven and nine year old sons, Charlie and Henry about the 4-1 drumming you got. I dont think the 18.40 on October 27th, when we play Milwall, will have quite the same banter and good humour

Its also nice to see some of the positive comments about the Leeds fans at the match on this forum, after any football fans worst nightmare of a summer. At the end of the day, its not our fault, what has happened, and as usual, we're the ones who suffer. Im sure Ken Bates was sipping Chamgpagne, whilst we queued for 70 minutes for our tickets, in the pouring rain. I wouldnt wish it on any true football fan, well apart from Cardif..............!!

Before travelling home we chatted with some Leeds fans in the car park and the banter was good natured. And later on, at a service station on the M1, we ran into theui fans travelling home to Southampton and again we had a good time with them. Every club has its nutters but the Leeds supporters that we encountered were very friendly.

We were those 'Unlucky' fans who had to listen to your lads go on about your win on Saturday but it really was a pleasure to listen to two youngsters talk with a passion not only about their team about football in general. Their list of players we should buy was endless most of whom I'd never heard of, but I am considering letting our manager know just In case there are one or two gems in there.Hope the bbq was ready when you got back!

Bbq was a little wet but we were happy. Girlfriend not quite as happy spending a caravanning weekend at Elland Road, but then thats our Northern charm for you.
