It's okay, I did not go for the parade!
bumped into a few of their supporters and remarked on how happy they must be, when they replied how happy they were I hit them with a 'yeah?, not as happy as me' remark. Then told them who I support.

To be fair, the two sets of fans I spoke to were okay and one guy said 'you deserve to be champions, you are a better team than us. You beat us 6-1 on aggregate and we just cant seem to beat you!'

Victory parade sounded loud but it was okay once all 7 of their fans went home!

Personally whilst I would have had a chuckle if col U hadnt been promoted the flip side is that we have two more local derbies next year and we wont be the smallest club in the league.

Just looked at BBC Essex site. Says the Col Ewe parade left Layer Road at 7pm and got to the town hall - the end - at 8pm!!. Not sure how far that is but our parade lasted over 3 hours and only went along the seafront or part of it!

What bit of out thunder did you steel exactly?

We romped the league, took six points of you scoring six goals in the process, got 3 players in the PFA team of the season, had the golden boot winner, top English league goalscorer in all four leagues, the PFA player of the season, the manager of the season and an average attendance more than double yours.

You on the other hand come 2nd with a scrappy dran at Yeovil and spanked a pub team in the cup.

I'm actually quite happy they have come up.

Will be interesting if any COl U fans try and build up the Ipswich rivalry that's nothing more than a geographic one really.

On a related point, I'd completely forgotten that Eastwood missed the first 3 goal haul because he was suspended. In spite of that massive suspension, he's still done pretty well mind!!

After much soul searching I'm glad Col ewe came up. It's nice to have our traditional rival in the same division, and a team on a (relatively) similar budget to compete with.

I've enjoyed the few derby games recently and I don't want to lose them again!

i am happy that you came up with us! i have a good friend who plays for col u and want to see him further his career as well as wanting the derbies between the two clubs continue. next year will be a fantastic year of footy for essex! BRING ON THE CHAMPIONSHIP!

p.s. i would have been annoyed if u had got 1st place but i would have dealt with it!
