Absolute sickener last night. My mate invited me to go to Torquay and in spite of my best efforts on the way couldn't stop off at Bristol on the way. Couldn't even hop out of the back of his 3 door Clio.

As for that game:

-> Fat Fry's team are rubbish and surely must go down
-> Orient reject Akinfenwa showed what he can do with a lenient ref.
-> Leon managed to miss two clear one-on-ones, a tap in and two other good chances to seal the game. I'm now sure we're not missing him.

However, the point of this post is not really about the game. Going to Torquay, Shrewsbury and (supposed 'big-club' Northampton this year have made me realise that we are probably too big for this division. The whole set up at Southend from the marketing through media management to new stadium plans show that this club do have genuine ambition. Torquay almost seem to have got up by chance and if they can survive in that division, I certainly think we'd be able to hold our own there.
