Just Got Back-Almost!!

I've just been given a brief Match Report from the womens SUFC left back Apes, who's on her way back as we speak!

A well deserved point & perhaps we even deserved to sneak a win. Stoke a a bit dirty, but didn't stop us from trying to play the way we normally do.

Hammell was stretchered off with a groin strain & was replaced by Foran, who looked lively & a decent buy on today's showing. For a lot of the game SUFC were playing with three strikers & as mentioned before, Eastwood's goal, from debutant Foran's cross, was the least we deserved from our trip to the land of Northern Chavs, thugs& D!ckheads!

The bad points, Hammells injury, which there's no news yet & Lewis Hunt's "performance" in midfield. Tilly I think you have done a superb job, but when are you going to realise, that I have more chance of having a orgy with Kylie & Girls Aloud, than Hunt being a midfielder. I would go as far to say that Clarke is better in midfield!

Positives points are we haven't lost any ground on the teams above apart QPR, who will be three points closer to after Friday's game. Foran's debut performance, Freddy's now 3 in 3 & we're still not losing many games.

We are staying up, say we are staying up!! :D

Lets hope Tilly has a midfielder or two lined up on loan. If Macca is out longer than one game, we'll struggle. Moussa isn't good enough & neither are Clarke or Hunt in midfield!

Tilly may have to put the boots on again!!

Theres a glaringly obvious solution, Drop Bradbury down to Midfield with Maher and put Foran in his natural position alongside Freddy. Causes minimal disruption to the team and balances the midfield...

I've not seen Foran, but the big plus with Bradbury is his height & strength. A bit of muscle is something needed in this division! Very basic, but a must to survive!

Foran won nearly every header he went in for, and he put himself about a fair bit. Not only this he did look to have an eye for a pass and good ability with the ball at his feet. All in all was impressed with him.

Sounds very promising, especially by what I was told earlier. The thing to remember is that Tilly did mention more than once that Foran can play in midfield. By that I still think he will Bradbury upfront & perhaps play Foran in Midfield, which loads more donkey work onto Maher. Gower in a more central position, perhaps, as he's a left winger who's not confident with his left foot!!

That was what happened today. Foran was in more of a midfield than an striking role. Gower didn't look happy in the centre though. Still it's the only option we have lol

Just got back. Only one thing to say at the moment. Well done lads. Oh and one other thing. Great support.

I can't believe that people are still moaning about Lewis Hunt. He gives 100% in every game, plays wherever he's asked to play, and certainly is more sure at full back than Francis. We were on top when he started in midfield, and playing well, and even when he was asked to play at left hback he gave an assured performance. I really am sad that Steve Hammell got injured as he hadn't put a foot wrong before he got injured, and hope it's not too serious. Foran looks an astute buy and hopefully will contribute greatly as he really played his part today. We really deserved more than a draw today.

Moussa isn't good enough

What are you talking about?! The guy has never even played a full game in the Championship, but you have written him off already?! At least abusing Paynter, Harrold etc etc has some basis as people have seen them at least play...!!

Unbelievable.

Agreed. Great away support today chaps. I was in a box today and you certainly made yourselves heard, as did we to those directly below our box :D

Good support today.
Foran really impressed -he did win headers but some pinpoint passes as well as some accurate crossfield boomers.
Ref was rediculously bad but fortunately more for them than us.
Where there two players queueing up for our goal?
Lots of postives fron today including Simon Francis overlaps with JCR.

Questions:

1) Will Che be bought back from Brentford?
2) Will be have to play 4-2-4 before the end of the season due to a lack of Midlfielders?
3) Can Freddy break his consecutive games scoring record?
4) Will we get out of the relegation zone with a win at Sunderland? and
5) Will Tilly be given the freedom of the town if he keeps us up?

On another point Stoke have a fans wall on their main stand. You can buy a brick and have your name/message inscribed on it. Looks like a good idea-shall we petition Ron for one at the 'Ford C-Max Fosset Farm stadium'?

Unbelievable.

My opinion is based on watch NUMEROUS Youth Team games. I have watched most of their home this season & last, & to be frank (!) he doesn't even stand out at Under 18 level. He has a few good touches & would be OK at the Daggers, but is certainly not better than Smith, Gutters, Clarke or Hunt in midfield.

Take a wander along to the reserves & see for yourself. I can't recall a glowing report about him in the Youths or Reserves. Tilly is paid to make these decisions & knows a lot more about the Professional game than we do, so who are we to question his selection?

NOT unbelievable!!! :p
