Some of you will probably be aware of a very rushed competition for Junior Blues members to send in their good luck clips to the players ahead of the Play Off Final, with the winner being lucky enough to be given 4 tickets for the match and the chance to be a mascot for the match.
Well, the lucky winner was Oliver Colquhoun, who was the first Junior Blue up on the video compilation clip.

Oliver's mum has sent us some photos of this special day which will live long in Oliver's memory.
Oliver himself says: ‘"Oh my goodness, I wasn’t even sure if we were going to make it to the playoffs but watching them at Roots Hall and knowing we were going to Wembley was the BEST feeling. Then finding out that I get to walk with them onto the pitch was a moment I would NEVER forget. We didn’t get to pick who we walked out with but I didn’t care as they are all amazing. I got to walk out with Ben Goodliffe and he was great. He was talking to me and made me feel calm.
At the end of the match I saw you were all on the floor feeling down but we’re all so proud of you that day and I’m looking forward to cheering you on next season.’’
Well said Oliver, we are all proud of them and looking forward to next season already!
Thank you to the Commercial and Media Teams at Southend United Football Club who enabled Oliver to have a dream come true.
(I wish we had a better picture, I'm guessing the one with Ben is off the tv)
