With 6 L1 sides and only us and Wycombe left from L2 it was always going to be a tough draw and Charlton are about the biggest we could've got, but we turned over QPR in fine style when we in the middle of the basement and Charlton aint as good as the hoops were soooooo ....

Personally i would've prefered Wycombe Exeter or Bristol Rovers at home

Best draw we could have had really, although would have been equally happy if it was an away. Nice and handy for travelling fans either way, and they're not in the best of form so fingers crossed we make further progress in this competition.

Great draw. Charlton are bound to bring a few meaning more pennies in the kitty whereas Exeter and Bristol Rovers you probably could put in the old Pak.

Oh, shame Bailey's move didn't stick or this would have been even more entertaining! Guess his dream move to err Boro was best fro penalty taking practice.....
Mercenary man

francis has always been one of my favourite players so would be great to see him as for macca think that will be bit mixed as people will be looking to wind him up and put him off his game, paul benson as well will be looking forward to playing well against us.

What type of reception will the old boys get do we think?

It's an interesting one because both of them divided opinion whilst they were here. Francis gave good, consistent service to the club and got the POTY last year so I imagine he'll get a good reception when the teams come out but might get a bit of defending-related stick during the game from the boo-boys/moaners. Macca's the sort of player you love if he's on your side but gets on your nerves if he's an opponent and he was rubbish last season. But they both gave good service to the club, both good characters who I'm sure will show respect when they return and both played in a big part in the success we had under Tilson so they should get good receptions. Macca v Grant is going to be an interesting clash.

Hope it is, I'll tell the lads down the SU to stick it on in the pool room. Be able to show my Chelski supporting mate a good game too.

Just had to check the date as I'm on holiday soon but back for this. Weehee !!!

I may have this wrong but I think the performance against QPR in the LDV signified the start of a change in our fortunes. No reason, if priced right, that we can't get a decent crowd (biggest of the season, why not ? ) and get the sort of electric atmosphere going that would be a big help and show all these new faces what the fans are capable of doing off the field when they raise it up a notch or two on the field.

When is the game?

I say make it £8 adults and £3 for kids oap's etc .

Think we may get 6500 in for that one. Charlton would probably bring 1000+ at those prices.

Francis consistent your having a laugh aint ya? I was a fan of his but he so many off days it was very frustrating.

Personally I have no time for any of the rats who left the sinking ship in the summer. Non wanted to stay so I will not cheer them when they return to RH playing for any other team.

I would be delighted to see the players who showed loyalty and stayed, Grant, Pato and Harry have brilliant games.
