Josh Simpson

But it's an ex shrimpers section for ex shrimpers. Why look in here for news on potential signings / targets...

Yeah saw this a couple days ago. I remember him on loan and really liked him, I know we tried to sign him but he decided to drop into non-league with Crawley at the time as they were paying big wages for league players. He was Crawleys captain as well.

They are, although Simpson was transfer listed during last season and only got offered a new contract after they were relegated.

Your comment suggests there was a break down in the relationship between the player and the club and given the opportunity to play elsewhere Josh decided to hoist two fingers at Crawley. All adds a little spice to proceedings.

Probably more to do with money. He has been with them as they've risen up the leagues and while they were willing to splash the cash. Now it seems they want to cut back and wouldn't be surprised if he was one of the top earners.

He didn't sound bitter when put on the transfer list though - http://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/116...ints__about_being_transfer_listed_by_Crawley/
