Exactly he has served his time. Everyone deserves a second chance. I'm sure we all know someone who had been in trouble at some stage, maybe not to this extent, but give the guy a break, he can't undo the past.

Not jumping on the bandwagon but id rather we signed players i can fully get behind. Like you say he done his time im sure he is sorry but it still would raise some eyebrows

I think it makes a difference that (in comparison to McCormick) there is no mention anywhere of him being drunk or speeding. Having said that if I had a preference I'd rather he didn't sign, and why on earth do we need another striker anyway? Is Corr, Harris, Eastwood, Tomlin and Benyon not enough??!!!

On another note Sheffield United really don't have any luck with strikers do they, what with Ched Evans too! :nope:

When I used to live in Bovisand, Devon, my son who was 17 at the time and a newly qualified driver, was returning home in the car from Wembury when he decided to change the radio station. In an instant he clipped the high bank in the lane and rolled his car. He was the only one in it and it never affected anybody else but it highlights how easy it is to do. My son was not a criminal just a tw*t!. I dare say many of us have lowered the level of concentration required whilst driving for one reason or another.

He has done his time and wasn't drunk or under the influence of anything else it appears - if he's better than what we've got then great, if not then no thanks - it would be all about ability from my perspective and nothing to do with his past.

He has served his time and punishment and deserves to come back into footy like many others have. there must be something that he has to offer that PS thinks we must still be missing, yes we have x5 forwards on the books now but we have Tomlin who can be used on the wing. Eastwood and Corr who off the pace at the moment but they will get there so Id welcome the opportunity to sign him if he does well enough today

Better than someone who gets in a car drunk and takes out two kids.

Only in your opinion. As far as I can see, him and McCormick were both convicted of the same crime; Death by Dangerous Driving. Both were ridiculously stupid. Both have served their time, and both deserve a second chance.

Have to agree with people saying he's served his time, whats the point in prison sentences if once people have served them they can't move on?
I think it's obviously different for some crimes where someone has maliciously done something terrible, but this seems to have been an accident, and although people will have to live with that forever, so will he.

Agreed. Convicted of the same crime as McCormick. It's like footballers who argue it's OK to call a fellow pro a c***, but not a black c***. Twisted morality.

Robertson right hear is what I think .The guy was stupid he caused a fatal crash . It was an accident plain and simple he was punished for what he did he did the crime he served the time and i am sure he is sorry for what he did . Now why do we need another striker well Eastwood is over weight loose a pound or two he may get his pace back Harris nice guy that he is lacks any pace Corr jurys out on him hasnt played in any pre season games and is also injury prone so another striker that can hold up play as Robertson can cant hurt .
