job websites

Yer Blues

Not Always Sarcastic ⭐🦐
any one had any good experience with sites like monster et al. in the process of redundancy and im looking for a job to make those staying jealous.

merci in advance

The Bob

Addeco or Reid mate also the job center website is always decent. also try the echo website.

Dont know what line of work you are in but I got made redundant in June last year,

I used Monster to start with and my god what a monster it is. Within an hour or two of being on there I had had no word of a lie 20 odd calls from various recruitment companys etc etc. Got bombarded to the point wher I turned my phone off.

I decided a second tactic which was to pick one or two of the recruitment companys that I liked who had called me off Monster and went to the direct.

Got my job via Hayes but wouldnt recommend the bloke as she was ****.

In general I would say all the recruitment companys are total *******s who would sell there own souls for a penny.

That's good advice Reed are good, and JobCentrePlus offer good advice. I agree also with DtS most recruitment companies are s*** and really only after their commission.

nice one cheers boys. in telecoms a the moment but not keen to stay in. was just a job that sort of became a way of life, alright money, 10 minutes from my front door and 4 years later im on my way out. i think ill sick my cv on monster and just use an old mobile number so if they turn into stalkers ill just bin the number off.

thanks again

I have used Jobserve to look for city jobs in financial software development and have had lots of responses.

It is worth looking for specific jobs though rather than waiting for recruitment companies to come knocking on your door.
