Is anyone a JW?
Has anyone dated a JW?
Any interesting stories about JWs?

What do you think about their new tactic? Where they just stand in the street with a table of flyers. Never say anything, just stare at you. Seems strange and counterproductive. Is it successful?

Are there any JW pro footballers?
 
We had a JW who used to babysit for us. She was lovely, a really sweet girl. The only thing odd was that her dad would drop her off and pick her up. He was always early, and was always waiting outside when we got home.

It then transpired that she hadn't passed her driving test!

Apparently she's now pregnant. I don't know if that is an issue for JWs given that she's not married.
 
Basically live and let live BUT I don't knock on your door so repay my kindness and don't knock on my door.
 
Huge presence over the last year outside my local & MK station - the front covers of the magazines they give away range from the purely bonkers (well, it is a religion :whistling:) to the downright insulting.
 
All made up religions on the back of other religions are bonkers. Letting members of their own family die because of the refusal of a blood transfusion is unbelievable, especially when kids are involved.
 
Peter Knowles of Wolverhampton Wanderers was a JW and was immortalised in song by Billy Bragg:

To be honest they **** me off taking up my time when they come to my door.

Give me a leaflet and go, fine. But don't stand there for 10 mins trying to talk me into becoming one. I am always polite and engage in discussion with them, but when I disagree with everything they say, they get shirty. Thing is the same mob keep coming back despite me making it clear I am not interested. Why?

Strange views and completely not my cup of tea at all.
 
Last time they called at my house I said I was a Satanist. They didn't hang around, and, actually, leave our house out on their rounds.

They are at Rayleigh Station every single day I have never seen one person talk to them or grab a leaflet. I do wonder when they will give up.
 
I recently when to the dentist and two JW arrived in the waiting room soon after. I spent 30 minutes talking to them about my other great passion besides SUFC, WWE Wrestling!! They were not interested at all, but as they had no escape I continued to talk about the rock n wrestling, cartoon, attitude & PG eras. Along with the upcoming WreslteMania 31 and who I thought should win each match. I wrote down a couple of wrestling forum website addresses on a newspaper for them to check out too!

I had just began to ask them what was bigger God, Hulkamania or Jesus Christ before our conversation was interrupted as it was my turn to see the dentist, when I came back out they had both been called in by another :sad: (I checked with reception).
