Quote[/b] ] i do not believe i am the only one that is very upset at the way Eastwood has treated us in the last month.

I presume you will be making a post very soon retracting your comments about Freddy and his effort for the team? He absolutely ran his socks off today and but for 2 outstanding saves would have had a hat trick

And was unselfish in passing to Bradbury who had the better opportunity

And was closing down the opposition keeper even for lost causes

And...

Great response, JCRCR. Now go and speak to TTK and CS J and explain how it's done!

Freddy was outstanding - like a changed man

So skillfull, made lots of chances for bradders, unlucky not to have scored more, great goal....

.....but more importantly he ran his socks off today - by the end he looked so tired.

Hopefully he can continue in this fashion - that was cirtainly a top top championship player performance today

Even ORM took his hat off to Freddy today. It was so obvious he was fired up right from the start. How many scouts there today ?

At least 6. They all sit in the row in front of us in the East Green, and all left on mass after about 80 minutes. Sheff Utd was a definate one, as he had a jacket on.

Hang on a minute , this is all very pally and magnanamous but if you look at JCRCRs' original post he was asking a fair question IMHO and making a decent point and I find the demand to retract it a bit worrying. I wouldnt say i was " very upset" but Freddys 3 or 4 "performances" prior to yesterday were without doubt below par. From the people I have spoken to the general concensus was that Freddy owed us a big game yesterday , and he delivered. Was it just me or did anyone else think the " da da da da Freddy Eastwood " chant after he scored was a bit half hearted , which may or may not indicate the love affair has gone a bit sour

? Just a question Steve01 so dont jump down my throat .

Freddy seems to have been made a scapegoat in recent weeks. His performances weren't that great, but thats the same for most of the players in the squad. I've seen nothing to suggest that his work-rate and commitment to the cause in recent weeks has been any different to how it has been in the past two years.

Trust Treasurer Bloke you must sit very near me !! Unless they reserve another row every game in the East Greens for these people . Those seats are always taken by either agents ,scouts or family from the visiting Club . Last week there were four characters who looked like Little Britain does football agents

Full of self importance and making notes on their little pads which they show off as if to say " look ,I'm here working not to watch this sh!te !" and they stunk of cheap aftershave............ until I " accidentally " dropped me onions from me hot dog down the back of his fake mohair Crombie.

No Prittlewell, I dont do throat jumping. I also didnt think Freddys last few performances were all that good, but I dont think you could question his commitment.
I didnt demand a retract, just asked, but I thought JCR's response was admirable.

The context of jcrcr's original post was that he'd give Eastwood stick if/when he returned to Roots Hall for another club in the future based solely on the last couple of games, which seemed somewhat excessive.

Fair play to him for retracting it though.
