Anyone know what is happening with this? IMO no dealings will take place until the investigation is complete and I reckon this will not be until the transfer window shuts. Its all very up in the air. Pity JCR.

I really do feel sorry for JCR, he's moved down here completely... bought a house, his missus has got a job and hes enrolled his kids into local schools. To be honest, i'm ashamed the club have left him in the lurch like this with no real movement visibly being made.

I think he was a bit keen....

He was only on loan and so to move here was a bit presumptious. I do hope we get him as thought he was good but dont think he was worth the money they want so why should be way pay it.

Still sign him for a decent price and I will be delighted.

It may have been presumptious, but like most of us maybe he thought the loan was just a way of getting him here until he could sign permanently.

My understanding was he was already our player, it was just a case of dotting the i's etc. come January.

It does seem like we have had 2nd thoughts and if the deal was only a loan to see if we wanted him that may not have been made clear.

Its certainly confusing.

How long does it take to sort out anyway, its been over 3 weeks!

Poor old JCR's a bit stuck in the middle here. I hope something gets sorted out soon...

Still, we're none the wiser on why the deal went pear shaped, some say it was his wage demands, some say the fee to Rotherham...

As I said last week I'm pretty certain the deal will be signed and sealed before the close of the window as Rotherham don't want JCR and he certainly won't wanna be ineligible for the rest of the season. The club hold all the cards here and sooner or later JCR's agent will advise him to accept the pay cut and sign for Southend United.

Presumptious ? Perhaps he read the Official Club Website on the 13th September.

"Jamal's move to the Blues becomes permanent when the transfer window re-opens in Janurary."

Seems pretty unequivocal; no caveats, maybes or perhapses.

I really don't think we have seen the best of him yet and hopefully all this procrastination will not damage him too much. Like Dave, I hope he signs. If we made an agreement we should honour it.

I agree, but even if we did agree a fee with Rotherham, did we agree personal fees?

And if we didn't... perhaps we should have.

And if we didn't... perhaps JCR should have before making the move.

And this is all subject to the personal fee being the sticking point.
