Least he tries and has a bit of talent. More than you can say One Direction who are just the latest in a long line of pop puppets aimed at teenage girls and one day will mentioned in the same breath as the likes of Bros.

That wasn't to say I don't admire him for having the talent, I just don't think he has the song writing capabilities to justify his rant. He's 18 isn't he? It's a truly special talent to be able to write consistently good pop music at that age. Jake Bugg isn't a truly special talent. 20 years ago or so, he'd be in a band.

I don't know about that... Arctic Monkeys' debut album was alright.

Uses co-writers. He also recorded the last track of his album on his phone, then had the crackling of an old record added during mastering - presumably to make it sound more authentic. Not interested!

How does he take himself too seriously? From what I've seen of him he is just being genuine, which is admittedly a bit cocky but he isn't pandering to fame.

Album is decent, some good song writing for an 18 year old.

You don't get the acclaim from the likes that he has without having some talent.
